Yep. But they need a hell of a lot of stuffing. Don't they? anyway, have a nice time. It looks like you have this celebration licked. So as they say on a comercial i can't remember here in the UK, suck it and see. It's the best way to find out. And happy giving and thanks by the way. =)

They do gobble after all. They gobble seeds at a rate unknown to even the best chicken ranches anywhere you care to name.

A big time Yes from me thet really gobble, One summer I volunteered at a kibbutz in Israel and my job was to feed the Turkeys. So I think you know I am speaking from 1st hand experience. They're mean too I was bit in the ankle by one of them and I have a scar to prove it It took 3 stiches. I do not eat Turkey at Thanksgiving or at any other time after my "accident" Guess it is somewhat crazy

Rene - I am going to give you a serious answer to your question. According to the website for the National Wildlife Turkey Federation, "the gobble is the principle vocalization of the male turkey and is used primarily in the spring to let hens know he is in the area." Of course, they are the distant ancestors of the domestic turkeys raised by the poultry industry. Domestic male turkeys do make the 'gobble' vocalization.

yes they do. and thier necks make a funny sound when they are snapped.
