There must be death. The cycle of life and the food chain demand it. There is a finite amount of resources on this planet. Even with the energy from the sun, without raw materials the food chain breaks a link and comes to a screeching halt. When something dies bacteria, bugs, worms start chewing. Some of them are in turn eaten but animals that are eaten. Some of them poop out nutrient rich poo. Plants consume the poo. Animals eat the plants. The end result is animals and plants die and provide building materials for future generations. Plus, without death overpopulation would cause disease and suffering-but no death.

Philosophically, death gives us purpose. Without death we would have no fire in our bellies. Why do it today? Do it tommorrow, or the next day, or the next day. We appreciate what time we have because it is limited much like you appreciate the first spring following winter. Imagine the sameness of it all if it lasted forever. I think if we lived forever that in about 2000 years the chief field of study would be to find a way to create death.

It is an interesting question.
If you go to the Bible, it seems that death (for humans) is a penalty. As Adam and Eve committed the original sin, the lost the inmortality that one of the gifts of God.
However, such penalty resulted to have a purpose in itself: the man has the opportunity to die to reach the heaven. Before the original sin, the man was not entitled to die because he was only another creature of God. So actually, death is not a penalty, but a gift.
In "The Lord of the Rings" of Tolkien, Elves are eternal creatures, beside the humans that are "blessed" with mortality. Death is considered a blessing because humans have no need to suffer for an eternity.
In the "Never Ending Story" of Michael Ende there is a chapter where a rain-forest had a simbiotic relationship with a desert. "Perelin" the nigth rani-forest grow during the night, and with the sun "Gaob" the daily deseert appeared to kil every creature of "Perelin". Without Gaob, Perelin would keep growing without control and then it would kill itself by lack of space.

We can think and live to make some reasonable cause for our birth. Death is not in our hands. birth and death are not decided by us. We cannot eliminate death and there is no purpose for death. After a life circle death is definite.

The Myth is that there is one thing that cannot prevail under human's control. And this is NATURE.

There are things which proves the above. Philosophy says :
No one can create or destroy a source, power, force, thing, creature on his own. You need the external power's help to even do a thing.

The word ENERGY has been simply calculated and used over the years. Energy is also an external power's wealth.

Death is inevitable. Birth too.

Fate is already written and the drama has started. You cannot run without acting your role.

But only Death can take your role and put it to some one else...

Death is the end of life, the full cessation of vital functions in a biological organism. It is generally considered a permanent state in the field of biology, and all living things eventually die, whether through natural causes such as disease, or unnatural ones such as accident.
Eventually our bodies stop working to the point that they can not be fixed when this happens death takes over. The reason for death is to keep the population down and to teach us all life lessons.

Death is not for any perpose.its a natural thing.if the death should be eliminated the natuarally helpless person i mean the old person who will become unable to fulfill these daily needs population will increase and it will produce the bad effect on the live/youngers and produce many deseases and whole envirment will change.so death and birth are necessary for the servival of the heaven.

Death is something created by nature to elliminate extinction. If there was no death populations woud grow to the point of extinction as with the dinosaurs. Death is not because of genetic faults it is a tool of nature, if your ancestors did not die you could not be born. If you dont die, eventually you would go mad through boredom. As much as humans would love to be immortal it is impossible because eventually you run out of things to interest you; see the movie Teenage caveman, where immortal people have become depraved because they are just bored with life.

" Death is Nature's way of telling you to slow down "

The circle of life has no beginning or end. Everything transitions

Remember what Peter said in the movie " Hook "

Peter Pan: To die would be a great adventure.

Captain Hook: Death is the only adventure you have left.

If there is not any dying, there is not any existence. If there is not any end, there is not any commencing up. the commencing up, the creation, the evolution, the continuity of existence in the international earth and universe can take place provided that there is dying. dying is barely ceasing of the physique. i.e. de-ceased state of being, the place the being does now no longer stay in the physique of the deceased. dying is the possibility to liberation of the Soul. The soul would get liberated or transmigrate. existence continuity and dying(Shrishti, Sthithi, Samhar)(creation, Continuity and Dissolution) theory, retention and expiration, are part of the greater suitable cosmic cycle. existence in the international would only be uninteresting without dying.
