Did you ever dye your hair and/or highlighted it; did the color change?

I had blonde highlights now it's light brown....

I used to dye my hair, although I only highlighted it a couple of times. My hair is normally dark brown but I had dyed it everything from black, blonde, auburn and fire-engine red! I loved the bright red, but it never lasted long in my hair. Reds fade so fast!

My red blonde permanent color washes out to medium blonde in about 2 weeks. Always.

I dyed my hair brown once... my hair is dark black, and it didn't show up at all, unless if I was in the sun... I'm going to donate it to Locks of Love in a few months, so I'm not going to mess with it until I get my hair cut... after that, I might get really wild colors in it! :-)

Yeah well pretty much the same anyway.. I had lowlights.. and the color changed after a week.. To a color not even close to what I was wanting.. It sucked!!

Yeah, because the dye does something to the hair's natural composition and will in turn lighten your hair.

Yes, that is very common. It is very likely that the color will dull over time and look darker than when you first had it done.

Yes... I had blonde hair and i dye it dark red and it turn like a violet pink..... It was horrible....

Yeah I've been coloring my hair since 8th grade.
The color changes because it is fading.
