I have a neighbor who is trying to draw attention to me through other neighbors for being home a lot. She is relentless and has an agenda. How do you throw stop sticks under someone like this? I have done nothing wrong.

If you can't win them, join them. Be friends with her. She obviously doesn't know how great you are.

You cannot control other people, so don't try. A good neighbor will talk to you and judge you for themselves. A bad neighbor will believe Gossip without getting to know you. So in a weird sort of way, this woman is doing you a favor.

Some people(neighbors) are like that. If your new in the neighborhood, it will take time for them to accept you. I would go and knock on her door, introduce myself to her/him and invite him/her over to have coffee with me. Be real social and see how that goes. Evidently she is somewhat anti-social. Don't give this neighbor anything to think about. If you have lived in this neighborhood for a long time, there must be something that has come between you. If you can't find out or win them over, then just accept it and go on. Don't loose any sleep over them. At least you tried.

In every situation, there is someone who has a need to draw atention to themselves. I t does not seem to matter to these people if they open themselves up to critisism by critisizing.
Ignore her, and her agenda.
If someone in the neighborhood brings up the subject, be prepared to tell them either to mind their own business, or tell them the truth about the situation. In my opinion, what have you got to lose? They may already think bad of you.
I live in a neighborhood where people wave, or not, when they see you, there is little visiting. I like that just fine.

How do you know she does this? See her gossiping a lot and she tries to gossip with you too, but the other people don't gossip so much with you?
Well....
I can't say ignore it completely coz you have to live with those people, so why don't you start doing nice things for them or saying hi if you can't afford to do the kinds of things they appreciate most. If you're always smiling politely at them and greeting them, it gets harder to keep saying bad things.
It'd help if you told us what you think is their problem with you.

Ignore this person and rise above them. Sooner or later your neighbors will find out what kind she really is and you will come out on top. Living well is the best revenge. This usually aggrevates ones like her the greatest. You can't beat evil with evil but you can destroy her with kindness.

She sounds like a busy body who is up to no good. I would try to avoid her if possible. You don't need people in your life like that.
