Maybe its the way different light makes them look, sometimes my eyes look really blue, but other times they look almost grey.

It's a reflection of outside environmental color-Sunshine or Moon llight. The other cause is your Own mood and how you are swinging.Let's see if you drinks a lot beer-it will turn in to a ight red,If you are walking on the beach it will show the reflection like Blue,If you are drug addicts than it will show Grey alike. If you feel Hazel like mean sparkling,Cause you see a decent boy and wish perhaps he could be your boy friend or just a friend,or even if you see your close relatives it turns into sparkling hazel.Do you bite your nail?

It seems eyes are changing the rules I grew up knowing...my baby's eyes I call 'rainbow eyes'. It is goldish brown around the middle, it has a deep green ring around outside edge, at times i see a pale blue and/or a gray streak in the right light. I've even seen all these at same time. I have hazel/brown eyes, father has blue-green. Hope science can keep up our changing world.

My eyes are naturally blue, but do tend to vary with my mood - greenish when I'm in a good mood, and greyish when I'm in a bad mood.

Most of the resources I'm seeing say that they eyes don't truly change color, they just appear to, because of variation in environment (clothing, lighting, etc).

It probably has to do with what you are wearing, and what you eat. I have green eyes too, and they look more blue if i wear blue. But they look more hazel if i eat alot of unhealthy, greasy, or junk food. If you want them to look more green, use either brown or pink/ fushia eye shadow. Don't forget to blend!

my dad is the same and generally they change with his mood, look out if they are grey, there is nothing you can do about this condition but think yourself privileged.

also he is colour blind and not sure if changing colours is a sign of this but perhaps you should get tested.

It's the color of your environment. Clothing, outdoor atmosphere, indoor lighting, etc.

actually, I have seen this 'phenomenon'
and I think it has to do with the 'clothes'
you are wearing, my step-daughter has
green eyes and if she wears something
'green' they look very 'intense',I think it
is an 'illusion', and I have seen her eyes
look 'blue' if she has on blue, that's my best
guess.
