Why did the english hate the irish so much in the old days (before the IRA or any Irish rebellion)??

It's partially a religious matter, between the Catholic Irish and the Anglican English, but also because the English treated the Irish like CRAP in the 1700s (read Johnathon Swift's satire of the matter), and that's just continued on. I'm not entirely sure why the Irish were treated as second (or lower than that) citizens in the 1700s, but that's probably why the malice continues.

The English only really hated the Irish during "The Troubles" we don't anymore its more the other way around
