No, caribou are different and Santa could never get them to fly so he opted for reindeer. Yams and sweet potatoes are NOT the same.

Yes, they are. They are called caribou in North America. Yams and sweet potatoes I believe are slightly different. But who knows maybe its a regional thing lol.

Yes they are. They are only called Caribou in North America and are called Reindeer in the Europian countries because that was what they were first called by the Turks.

Think of reindeer like writing with a pencil, and trying to erase it. Then think of a caribou like writing with a pen and trying to erase it. The caribou is bulkier and tougher. Yahoo image search what a caribou is and see for yourself! They're closer to a MOOSE!
