Eye shawdow is in the make-up category.

eye shadow is make-up! But there are many kinds of make-up. If someone said they want make-up for Christmas, that can be eye shadows or blush or lipstick or mascara or foundation or pressed powder or lip liner or eye liner or nail polish or MANY other things!! lol!!

Makeup is a all encompassing term for anything you put on your face.
Eye shadow you put on your eyes. Sometimes there are contouring shadows to hollow your cheeks or enhance your decollete

Eye shadow is makeup, but makeup isn't always eyeshadow. Makeup can also be fondation, powder, blush, mascara, lipstick... Makeup is all-encompassing.

yes eye shadow goes on ur eyes makeup goes on ur face.but other people call eye shadow make up.there is foundation that has make up written on it.so it depends on who you ask.
