You deleted your question, and I wonder if it's because of the comment someone put in about getting rid of your computer. Don't listen to that lout ... they are obviously selfish, self-centered and over-indulged.

If you are genuinely having a hard time making ends meet and don't know how you're going to give your children a happy Christmas, please don't give up hope. Here are a few things to try:

TOYS FOR TOTS: I found their website difficult to use but you may have better luck. Or pull up their phone number and call them to ask how to be included.

SCOUTING TROOPS: many troops do community service by making stockings. See if your local council or a troop is participating and ask how to be included as a recipient

LOCAL VILLAGE or CITY HALL: See if any community groups are sponsoring a Santa Day, or maybe sponsoring an entire family. Get yourself signed up.

Good luck... I'll say a prayer for you and your family. Remember that when God closes a door, He opens a window

Oh, she deleted her question? What a shame...too bad for the rotten apples, eh?

As I answered, she can also check with her chamber of commerce for local groups who provide gifts and meal assistance. Here at work, we are already working on our food & gift drives for the season.

I hope she sees your post...thanks for helping!

I'm sorry, but did I miss the part where Christmas was all about getting presents? my husband grew up where he got virtually nothing for Christmas and he said it really wasnt a big deal...just made him want to grow up and make a better life for himself...not a bad thing in my eyes anyways. Its sad if the kids dont get anything, but honestly, Christmas isnt about gifts. I have a problem with some of these people looking for free gifts...like really...where did the computer and internet come from if you cant afford your kids.

what's wrong with selling her computer? if she really needs the money, she can always buy another at tax time, my sister -n-law sold hers last year when she needed help and she din't want hand outs.and she was blessed with a better one when she got her taxes.. but you are nice if the world was full of people like you it would be a better place to live..god bless
