This file cabinet came with 25 cardboard strips that are about 15 inches long and one inch wide and 2/32nd thick, very thin. Can somebody please tell me what these pieces of cardboard are used for????? Thank you sincerely!

The file cabinet did not come with directions. Good question though.

Where were the pieces located? I could very well have been packing materials to prevent damage to the unit during transportation - buffers between the drawers and the unit itself. Or, do they look as though they're dividers for the drawers themselves? If its not in the directions, then its probably just filler.

Perhaps for labeling the fronts of the drawers?

Are the strips perforated at all? Maybe they're intended to go into the slots on the fronts of the drawers that tell you what's inside them.
