How do I know what is PMS and what is hormones. I have had sore breasts and stuff like that, but no period. Also I have been crying for very small things like the teacher not picking my hand over and over again. Also I have been getting more discharge than normal. Is the PMS.

will did you miss your period and are you $exually active. get an over the counter pregnancy test. sore breast if you normally do not have them is a sign of pregnancy along with missing your period.

Your body is changing and hormone levels are fluctuating. It is very normal, but if you are concerned I would definitely talk with your doctor. Your body may be trying to get ready for your period.
I know there are different levels of PMS and I'm still learning about it because I have really bad PMS. I have just about every kind of symptom. I just mainly think your body is getting ready for your period and that you could start anytime.
Discharge is normal. Look to make sure you have no color other than clear. Of course when you start your period you will have color, but I'm talking about yellow colors, etc. Again, if you are concerned, talk with your doctor. They will be able to help.

PMS is hormones dear. They cause PMS, but PMS comes before the period, thus it is called Pre-menstrual syndrome.
I'm not a woman but I have a mother and sister who were always way too open about that stuff as a kid and I have been married twice. Believe me, I know about PMS and periods!

Okay darlin'...PMS is actually your hormones fluctuating in your body. You have an abundance of female hormones estrogen and progesterone which make you sensitive and weepy before your period, when you ovulate. You sound young, so you are just getting used to these feelings. Discharge is VERY normal before your period. Don't stress. Remember that PMS is Pre-Menstrual Syndrome, and most women get it, but if you get crampy and irritable, try Motrin.

Sounds like your describing typical symptoms of PMS, hon; it's really nothing to worry about; I know I can start feeling like that two weeks (or a lil more) before I actually start bleeding. Everybody is different. However, one thing to remember is that slightly elevated hormones are part and parcel of pms and menstruating...so the answer to ur question is it's both.

Your hormones are running high, you may well be having your period very soon. PMS Pre Menstral Syndrome is attributed to the rollercoaster of hormones a woman goes through in her monthly cycle.

you should see a doctor about the discharge if this continues. you could have an infection. as far your moods are concerned. you could just have a hormone imbalance- something else to have your doctor look into. if pms is so bad that you are that easily upset perhaps you need some medication to help you cope with these feelings. sometime b.c. pills help too. good luck

You may be getting your first period- or you may just be going through something emotional. Your hormones are kicking in, and it's completely normal to feel sad or upset for no reason. Sometimes I will feel sad for every little thing and it's just part of being a girl. It could be either.
