me and my friend have been best friends for two years. things have been getting worse though... now there is a big group of our friends, and whenever shes with one of our other friends, she totally ignores me. i'd be saying something, and then she will just act like its not important and she'll but in. she also is trying to controll me; everyday she asks me over and when i cant come, she gives me this silent treatment. The worst thing shes been doing lately is shes been making fun of alot of people that she hasnt even met yet. shell see strangers in the hall and start telling me how ugly they are, when they could be a really nice person. not to be mean or anything, but she isnt so pretty herself. ive been starting to ignore her when she acts like that, but it doesnt help much. her mother is just the same. ive tried talking to her, but she just brushes it off. what should i do??

she is changing! argh i hate it when people do that.. and trust me, u will encounter it a LOT. she wants to be popular, wants to be "cool", wants peopel to think she is right. if i were u, i would start distancing myself a bit and focusing on making friends w/ other people. start finding people who think similarly to you, who have similar interests...and stop hanging around people who make u feel uncomfortable or unhappy, or makes u feel like u have to change how u are.
the happier u are with other people, most likely she will get angry, ignore, or even make fun of u. but if u pretend to like her, she will be nice to you?? that's not fair, and that's not a good friend. just do ur best in school and w/ ur friends, and be nice to her but not too close. if she changes, she will talk to you again. good luck

well you said she calls strangers in the hall 'ugly' when they could be really nice well i also have friends like that and the best way to deal with this friend is tell her the truth of how you feel or you could go the downside and make her mad by making new friends and ignore her but try the first one first :P

i think you should forget about her completly. it seems that now you two don't have much in commen anymore. since she is always making fun of people && you don't like that at all. && omg if she's ugly then why is she making fun of ugly people! loser! && if you have already tried talking to her && she ignored you that is a "BIG" sign that you should stop being her friend. your friend is just trying to be "cool". so i suggest you just move on && find a new friend. :]
