200,000 does not even meet demand. Sony should of first, manufacture two million consoles before launch. Second, Make their distribution of play station 3 more efficient, and try to bring down the manufacturing costs of the PS3 thru more efficient production methods. Sony PS3 over a 2 year span will outsell all others is probable, but when they design a new system gonna have to build a system that is not a 300 dollar hit per unit loss in the long run, and improve quality or else another competitor will join the competition hurt sony with better durability, and quality with a system that is same price, but does not incur 300 dollar loss per unit sold. Game developers will love to make games with the ps3 because of its graphics and phsyics capibilty. Yet, it costs 15 million per game to make ps3 game. While nintendo is 5 million per game. Sony will make the money on the games, but is a stockonwer or investor your wondering if the investment risk sony taking is good for the long run when they go back to design another game system. They better sell TVs and other electronics for a profit to counteract it in the long or this will be a liablity for them.

Dunno the exact amounts. They are releasing another 200,000 (over the 400,000 from todays launch) in the next 2 weeks.
They are giving away one for free at modoshi, or try ebay.
