They are playing terribly, their defense is doing well, but their offense just can't score. I mean, they've scored 3 goals over the last 4 games. Their good defense isn't showing either, thanks to Turco's sloppy Goaltending. If Turco and the offense had been on they would have beat the Islanders.

It would help to have good fans to. There are only a few good fans in Dallas, but overall we have terrible fans. I went to the Islander's game, and I must say almost nobody there knew anything about Hockey. Not to mention, we had tons of empty seats and there was almost no noise. Plus when any other Dallas team is playing, most people are watching the mav's or the cowboys.

I wish most people down here liked the stars as much as I do. The stars deserve better fans than they've got.

Yep, I was there, as I am at every game. I have season tickets and it breaks my heart to see all those fair weather fans. The fans Wednesday really disappointed me. That game stood out to me as one of the most silent games I've been to in a while. I agree about the lack of fan support.

Not a fan of the juggling of the lines in that game... It obviously didn't work, so why keep at it? Some if those lines Tip threw out there were ridiculous! Stick with the lines that work!

At least we looked good tonight in Atlanta! I'm proud of this game. Patrik Stefan finally getting on the board and Mike Ribiero showing off his skills. It was a good game.. Hopefully this pick up in offense carries over to Carolina!

GO STARS!

I totally know how you feel about the lack of fan support I'm a season ticket holder and love hockey. But Dallas fans are notorious for jumping on and off the bandwagon (look at the Mavs fan base in the horrible days in the 80s vs today, and in the early 90s you couldn't go ten feet with out seeing silver and blue, and in the late 90s Dallas was a green and gold town of the stars). I think a lot of what is going on as far as the offensive woes is that a lot of players got comfortable with the lines that they had early in the season and when Steve Ott was hurt that juggled all of the lines and now Jere Lehtinen might miss a few games due to the leg injury he suffered in the game against the Islanders. Coach Tippet needs to make sure they don't get complacent and light a fire under the feet of his big names.

Well u kind of answered part of your own question. People that know little about hockey usually are like fair weather fans, when the teams on they are at the game cheering "their" team on and when they are having a hard time they are no where to be found. Its still early in the season, I wouldn't count the stars out quite yet. Good D is always a plus aside from goal tending it can anchor a team. I'm sure the coaching staff is making adjustments to generate more offense, but sometimes it just takes time.

Hey man Turco is a damn good goalie. But he can not carry the team. The coaching staff and other players need to step up and work out the propblems the team is having. I suggest maybe a new coach.

First of all they are in Texas.

Second... Nah, that is enough just being in Texas.
