Oh. My. Yes, I do. I'm not really sure why either but I think I was taught to do that when I was a very young girl just learning to write....my fater was in the Navy & I joined too, and we did it there too, so maybe that has something to do with it.....I'm not sure.

I was educated in the USA so I was not taught to cross my 7's. However, it is common in most of the world for on very important reason: it eliminates guessing when a sloppy writer uses sevens and ones.

Its odd that it is not taught in the USA because they do teach you to make 5's using two lines so it will be differentiated from your S's. But i now cross my sevens. And I have been for quite some time.

Well there is an original Poll Question, good job.

Sometimes, my handwriting changes, and as weird as it sounds, sometimes I just start writing my letters nd numbers differently.
For the time being I don't, but who knows, maybe in the next month or so I might start.

No, although I did wind up doing it for a few months back in the fall of 1984.

I do too. I do it because my writing is hard to read and people can tell that it's a 7 not a 1.

Yep, I do. When I took French in 8th grade, we had too -- and it has become a habit.

I used to. But I write my "4"'s the way they look here, instead of using two separate pen strokes.
