Capitalists would probably say yes, but with an unrestrained free market and no mechanism for wealth redistribution the rich tend to get richer and the poor get poorer. It takes money to make money.

They do not equal; however, it is easier for capitalism to exist in a democracy. A democracy is a style of government that does not limit its citizens to a certain economical class. You can start off very poor, but with education and hard work you can become very rich. You do this thru capitalism, which is really the working person greatest hope for a better life..

Actually the two are separate. Democracy, or in our case a Democratic Republic, is a system of government. Capitalism is an economic system.

Capitalism is an economic system.
Democracy is a political system.
Or are you trying to point that out? Either you are really smart, or kinda dumb.
People on here rarely know the difference between the two.
People on here think socialism means dictatorship...
and (I hate to say it) capitalism equals democracy...
The US is actually a mix of capitalism and socialism.

Capitalism is a style of economics, but democracy is a mode of government. One is how a society manages business and money, the other is how a country governs itself.

It could but it doesn't because ordinary people keep voting for the politicians who are wealthy themselves and therefore act on behalf of the rich. And don't be fooled because they profess religion. They know there are a lot of votes in that area that they wouldn't get otherwise.
