Hi Guys!!

I had a 2nd interview yesterday with a prospective employer. The 1st interview went great: the company is owned by a family, I was interviewed by the daughter. She introduced me to her father who owns the company & told him she wanted him to put a face with my name because she thought I was great for the position. She told me even before I left that she'd call me later in the week for a 2nd. I had the 2nd interview yesterday with her father (the owner) & it went very well also. I was 1 of 4 who were called in. He said at the end of the interview that I fit almost all of the qualities they were looking for concerning the position & he "didn't want to make a commitment yet, but...". I'm taking that as a good thing. He said he would call today either way. It's 3:15pm and they close at 5pm, I haven't heard anything as-of-yet so I'm guessing they will call around 5pm. What do you think are the chances of me getting offered the position? They checked my references too. Thanks!

I didn't like the "ALMOST" though.

Do a follow up call, thank them for their time, be persistent. And if you are unsuccessful ask him what you can do to improve yourself and your chances for future endeavours. This will make him aware that you are interested in personal growth and if the other person doesn't work out you will probably get the nod. Either way good luck!

The "almost" part was the first clue, and the "don't want to make a commitment yet," as the second clue. Keep pounding the pavement and if they get back to you fine, if not it's their loss.

I don't know but send a thank you note for the opportunity to present your skills, yap about how mutually beneficial this would be if given the job, and mail it right away so they'll have your thank you note Monday.
