Change your password immediately, run a virus scan- and make sure your antivirus software is up to date. Do the same with your adware/spyware protection. And use a good firewall such as Zone Alarm.
And make sure not to give ANYONE your password. It sounds to me like you've been hacked!
Oh yes, and if you get any strange e-mail, don't open it and especially don't respond to it: That tends to be a favored tool of Phishers, Scammers, and other assorted scums.

Question, Is this a wireless system? If so simply lock them out. I am sure you thought of that. If they are logging on through your computer then someone placed software on your computer which allow them access.
If someone is just using your hard wire DSL through the phone company, meaning the outsider is accessing the line prior to your system, That is the phone company's problem they must offer you a uninterrupted line this is not a party line system, the phone company's gave that up years ago LOL. Also they can tell who is accessing the account their just kidding you or the rep at the phone company has no idea.
Those are the options let me know in what category the problem lies.

Hi!
Unless you live in Subsaharan Africa or Central Asia, well, it CAN be traced, since it has a source and a destination. The question is: would they?
Next time you can use your internet connection, call the provider and ask them to change the account password. If they won't then, unsubscribe. Subscribe to a different company or resubscribe again later, with a differen account.
Good luck!

You need to change your password immediately. The internet service provider CAN trace the user who is doing this, but most tend to be too lazy to do so. Run an updated virus scan also, to make sure that you aren't infected with a trojan or similar virus. You can download a free and excellent virus protection suite from http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1

The first thing I would recomend is contact your ISP. Request a NEW user name and NEW password. and to close the old account ASAP. This means a new email address if you are using DSL or Cable. Just mass email your friends about the new account, but do not tell them untill you check your computer to be clean.
Then run these on your computer. Maybe they install something to track your user account: Are you on Dialup? O_o

and scan your computer for keylogers, backdoor worm etc..

I think you have a larcenous friend with a weird sense of humor. Next time that you sign on, change the password to something that is tough to guess. That will deny their access from then on.
Instead of asking the phone company you could try asking your ISP. They may have more details on the id of the computer being used.

When they log on to what? You haven't told us what the password you are talking about gives them access to. Please be more specific.
And yes, you should change the passwords to everything you access since it is now compromised
