I asked a question today in reference to things that are happening in my home. Quite a few people have said maybe its a ghost. I dont believe in ghosts but my dad made a good point when he said to me "Just because you dont believe doesnt mean they dont exsist." So my question is, Do you believe in ghosts? If so why? and have you had any experiences with the superrnatural?

bfsize 15: I too would like to believe in them but I need proof and whats happening in my home isnt proof enough to me. The only weird experience I've had where I questioned my non belief in ghost was 5 years ago. My mom died suddenly Nov 25 2001 2 days before my 23 birthday. My daughter (who was 4) was in the backseat of the car when I was driving to dinner on my brithday and all of a sudden she looked up and said Grandma said Happy Birthday. I dont know if she was just saying that cuz she knew I was sad mom was gone or if she really did hear/see something.

Yes, I definitely believe in ghosts. I saw one just the other day in the bathroom of the school where I teach. I was working late and went into the girls bathroom. As I turned the corner where the sinks and stalls are, I was looking into the stalls to find a clean one and saw (out of the corner of my eye), someone dressed in blue, leaning over one of the sinks. I was about to move down to the next stall so I looked up to move past this person and there was no one there. It's a 150 year old building. This is just the most recent sighting I've had, I've had many.

Yes, I do. I do not understand them, but I actually saw a ghost once. I thought it was my stepson. It was about 3:00 a.m. and I had to use the restroom. I walked down the hall and I could see who I thought was my stepson. He, or it just stood there, so I assumed he was sleepwalking - or something. So I crossed my arms and said, "Fancy meeting you here." You know, to break the ice, and this image of greyish and white in color, a man, somehow I knew it was a man, just turned toward a door leading to a bedroom and disappeared.
I know of friends, esp. in England who saw relatives visit them only to find out that they couldn't have, because the relative had died some hours earlier.
Perhaps God allows things like that. Or perhaps there really is a limbo - like the person did not realize they were dead yet, or wouldn't accept it, so they couldn't enter eternal peace or heaven, etc. Unfinished business is what I believe ghosts are about. I believe the ghost I saw was a friend who died suddenly in an auto accident. I also believe that is why I was not scared when I realized what I had witnessed. He loved me - well, I loved him too and was devastated that he died, but perhaps he liked being around me.
By the way, the way, I thought I saw him several times through the years since he died, but really thought it was my imagination until I talked to it. Or him. I went out into the hallway where I saw him one afternoon and told him I loved him, but to go on....at that very moment, a paint stick extender that had been untouched all day from another bedroom crashed to the floor with a big bang. I never saw him again. I was never really scared because I knew he would never hurt me.
I do not believe ghosts can hurt you. Scaring you half to death is hurtful, I guess, but I truly loved the experience. It gives me hope that this here on Earth is NOT all there is. It's interesting.

Your dad does not make a valid a point at all. I don't believe in Dwarves and Hobbits, but then to his point it means they exist and I should pray Frodo did destroy that ring.
Beliefs in the supernatural have been around from the beginning of time as folks have used tales to scare people into beliefs, or to explain occurances of natural yet strange phenomena.
My ex-wife swore she saw the ghost of a woman in her mom's home in Tahoe years ago, the woman was murdered there. She didn't see any ghost at all, but because she was told the tale her mind made her see something that wasn't there. Incidently, we had dinner with the people who have lived there for the last 15 years and they say that they have not witnessed anything.
If you think something odd is going on in your home, write down what they are and think of logical explanations. Random things can happen, it doesn't mean that it is some spirit doing it

Yes, I do believe in ghost. Your Dad is right just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there. Have you ever seen $100,000,000? $100,000,000 does exsist though. Yes I have had expieriences with the supernatural it's pretty scary, but you'll get over it. If they aren't bothering you or anything then your ok, but if the same thing happened to you that happened to my friend. Me and her were standing in her living room and all of a sudden her back started hurting and I looked and she had scratches down her whole back. I don't know if it had to do with anything supernatural or what, but I think so. I've had a lot of expieriences at my old house with ghosts. Which is one of the reasons why I had to move. Get an ouigi board and don't listen to anyone in her that says ouigi boards ar dangerouse because there not. You won't die becasue of using it or nothing. I have one and so does a lot of my friends and so does my mom. I have been using mine for years and as you see I'm not dead or I didn't get hurt by using it. Well good Luck!

yes i do,a few years back i was at my Nana's house, gardening and my grandad used to race greyhounds, they always kept them after the dogs had retired,i was weeding and heard this panting next to me i thought oh go away I'm busy,it happened again so i turned to push him away as i did i saw this flash of a white dog but they only had 2 black dogs at the time..at that moment i remembered the year before i had helped them bury charlie brown who was a white dog and thought oh he's just letting me know he remembers me and that he's still around..i have seen others but this one is the sweetest. also i was getting ready to have a kidney transplant and it had been cancelled once because i had fluid on my lung,so the next date had come around the night before i had a dream that i was at the hospital and heard a voice say it won't happen today but will be done in 10 weeks time .when i woke and told my family they said don't be silly you're just nervous because it had been cancelled before, fine so off we went and well again it was cancelled an hour before because my fiance's liver results weren't right,we had to wait for a week before they said when it could be done and low and behold it was exactly 10 weeks to the day that i had it...so whatever the supernatural is,there's definitely something going on .hope that helped you

yes. I was at my friends house he lives in an apartment complex, his hallway was empty and the empty apartments were locked, we heard noises upstairs in the above apartment which was empty, so we went upstairs to check it out, so we closed all the doors upstairs in that apartment. So we went down stairs a few hours later and then we heard stomping, so we went up, all doors were open except the bathroom and a closet, me and my friend could not get the bathroom door open so we went to the closet one and tried to open it would not open so I tried again and something pushed me hard into the wall, It felt like a hand and my friend seen it happen, the magically the bathroom door opened all of a sudden, we said the hell with this and ran downstairs.

Yes i do believe in ghosts. Why they are here is another thing. After reading alot about them it seems to me that sometimes they arent really here but some are like a tape recording of life. Maybe others died so quickly that they haven't accepted their passing. An others may be bound to live their eternity in one place.Maybe that is their "hell".children can see things that you can't and can also sense things because they arent full of propaganda.

Yes, I do. I envy people who don't believe in ghosts, through my experience I don't have that luxury. :)

If weird things are happening in your home FIRST check the electrical wiring and the plumbing. One time I felt a cold draft and assumed OMG cold spot!!! But it was really just a hole in my window.

Yes, I do. I lived with one. She was a little girl. She wore this dress that look like she was from the 1930's. I would catch her watching me on the computer. Sometimes I would see or hear her sit on our couch. She was a cute girl. Sometimes I hear her running up and down the hallway too.
