If you have the money and it's not hurting you bank account any, why not. It beats standing in a line and waiting for a long time to get one.
I personally wouldn't do that, but I could see a person doing that if they had no problems with money or budgets.
And plus, if your a gamer. Then your a gamer! You're going to need that next-gen console just like the next kid. I know my friends and how they are, eh. Mine aren't really all over the ps3, but they were with the 360.

A british guy just paid 15000 Pounds (just under 30000 dollars US) for a PS3. And someone in America also got shot while queueing for one.
Is there any point in people getting so worked up just to get one a month or two before anyone else?
