If this was in the beginning of the season and Nadal wasnt tired from doing the Rolland Garros, Rome Masters, and Wimbledon then I would give it to Nadal. Nadal hes beaten Federer before in Dubai on hardcourts so even though its faster it doesnt mean he cant get to the and he even made it to the Wimbledon final which is on the FASTEST surface there is. But seeing as how unstoppable Federer currently is and how fatigued Nadal is I would give Nadal a 35% chance of winning and 65% to Federer. Because I know Nadal has that kick where he can get a second or third wind. Even more so Nadal struggles and fights it out to get every ball which is great considering Federer plays the percentages.

If Nadal were Nadal, I'd call it a tossup, but Nadal hasn't been quite himself for a while. Federer probably wants it a LOT more, which ought to be a good sign for him. The hard court surface doesn't particularly favour Federer; his only win over Nadal on hard was nearly a straight set loss, and then Nadal got tight. But Nadal isn't coming in with particularly impressive results.

If Nadal does win (a big if), he should be the favourite at the Australian, the type of hard court well suited to him, where he can do to most opponents something like what Mauresmo did to Henin-Hardenne and then some.

I wish Nadal would win but I'm gonna have to say Federer b/c the courts are fast hard courts which definitely favors Federer. Plus, Federer has won 27 straight matches.

Federer is full of confidence and Nadal is not. I think Federer will win in straight sets!

federer will most probably win but i really really hope nadal wins.
its not only because of the surface they are playing on, but nadal is not in very good form right now losing recently to pretty ordinary players.also he got treatment for his knee which means he may have a bit of a problem.but i am not totally ruling out nadal .but i think ,like he himself said, his confidence is really not on an all time high. i think and hope nadal can win,but most probably federer will win.

Federer will win!! Surface, has everything to do with it. This court is very fast, favoring Federer. Blake has the best chance to win against Federer on this surface. Nadal played well just to win on this fast court. He is out classed tho on this fast indoor court, by Blake and Federer!!

I think Federer will pull out this time, in str8 sets btw!
Federer has won countless tournaments leading to this season-ending tournament, and he is on one of his hottest winning-streaks, and he is on his best and fittest condition, so i guess Nadal couldn't match Fed's awesome power, precision, intelligence and spirit on court. Federer also won all 3 of his round-robin matches, while Nadal lost to 8th ranked Blake. But if Nadal played hard and all-out, keep Fed under pressure just like he did in Dubai earlier this year, i couldn't keep my words....
But still... I'm on Federer this time.
