St. Louisans have "different" standards, they think that Provel and Imo's is good. I am talking, REAL pizza like the one in Italy, NY or SF. So far I like Raccanellis and Il Vecino's in Clayton.
Wood ovens are always great. Any others?

Lou Boccardi's on the Hill makes great thin crust pizza. Comes out in 1/2 sheet pans. It is really good. Another favorite is Elicia's pizza. I believe it is only in south city, It is demonstrably better than Imos.

For deep dish, I like Mike Talanya's pizza. They have several locations. It has been a few years since I have been there. One in Westport, One on Manchester south of the hill, I believe that there is one near Wash U, but its location changed. I have moved and these are not as convenient as they once were. I think they are still open. Also they make New york style and thin crust. Not an aficionado of NY style.

If you like Chicago style pizza, I recommend Pizzeria Uno in Kirkwood or Chesterfield.

"Different" tastes? Ha!
I am from the East Coast originally and now live in St. Louis, so I know what you are talking about. Raccanelli's is pretty tasty, what do you think about Uno's?
I think Raccanelli's is as good as it gets here.
