My friend didnt get her period til she was 16 years old. I think its perfectly normal not to have your flow at an early age these days. Since everyone is starting to eat organic foods and such maybe all the hormones arent bugging her system. Tell her to enjoy her flowless days because once she gets it, good bye cute white pants and hello hot pads and midol.

My friend's daughter is a little younger than you and the month before her period started, she remembered her being super cranky and having cramps. But for most of us, it's just a surprise. A good way to know is to ask your mom when she started hers...and when your aunt's started. That gives you a good idea how old you'll be. And if it starts in a public place, tell her not to worry. She'll think everyone in the world will notice, but I promise, they won't.

it depends on the person as to how heavy it is. but usually first periods arent that heavy.
stomach aches, in lower abdomen, and sometimes back aches, headaches, and PMS, which usually you cant tell if you have, but you get crabbier than usual.
skin gets oilier so pimples coming up sometimes.
i discharged for ages before i got mine, so theres no set way to know. usually though first time isnt heavy.
and if she reckons shes gonna get it then she could wear pantyliners, but until she actually gets them she could be wearing them for a while, and this could be costly.
hope i helped.

It depends.. when i got mine it was a complete shock, i discovered blood in my underwear in the bathroom at school when i was 11 but my sister had bad cramps for 3 days before she got it. so it really depends on the person

it does depend on the person, just tell her to start carrying around pads/tampons in her purse of backpack, just in case.
ps. cramps are a good sign somethings going onn.
