I used to have an account with myspace but deleted it due to the bad publicity the site's gotten in the last six months.
I think it's a crying shame that teens are being sought after by sexual predators and/or use myspace as a way to vent frustration like writing about that they want to get even with someone or kill a rival or teacher.
Myspace isn't a bad idea in general, but like with everything else, certain safeguards must be put in place or enforced to ensure that everyone who uses it properly, can enjoy it without feeling like that they too are under a microscope when they log on.

I personally think is a great site to reunite with old friends and also meet new ones. But when meeting the new ones being careful of who they are. I mean if its a friend of a friend that you know and they know them personally than it's okay but meeting strangers that's a whole new story. I wasted a lot of my work time at myspace. But youngster think it's a cool thing to show off all the bad stuff that they do.

I really only talk to like two people. One is my old friend from Highschool.
And the other is a girl I met on here.
If your carefull, then it can be pretty safe. I don't give REAL information about mself over the internet. That's how it should be. There are sexual preditors out there and it is pretty scary.
You just have to be smarter than the preditor, meaning.
Don't give PERSONAL info. If you do that, it can be fun. I only set it up, cause Yahoo can get just as boring. I only am on the net at work anyways.
But really it isn't any more dangeouse or lame then this page.

if youre smart about what youre posting, then theres no need to worry about preditors. MOST people online arent bad people, just like in real life. its an ok place to meet new people. you just have to be smart about it. dont give your address out to people you met online. i have a myspace but rarely use it. its neat, i can save pics ive taken on there so people i meet online can see what i look like and get a feel of what kind of person i am.

I think it's more te people who use the site that cause the problems rather than the site itself. Also young kids shouldn't be on there in my opinion, and/or their parents should be monitoring their internet activities very closely.

personally, i think it's fine
as long as people don't post up their full names, phone number, or addresses
because then a good friend site turns into a dangerous predator target
so i think the sites should be on private
but i have absolutely nothing against it

ok well....i think you should be atleast be smart enough to go on myspace to realize that its not the safest place in the world but i think as long as you dont let people talk you into stuff that you dont want to do then im pretty sure its safe but i personally dont have one and I'm not so sure i want one!!

I like it because it keeps me in touch with friends and family. Under 18 should have private sites though.
