It used to be male celeb sex symbols for women were men like Sean Connery and Tom Selleck - men who had body hair and really looked like men. It appears recently the male sex symbols are almost feminine - smooth bodies, perfect hair. I guess what they call metrosexuals. This also seems to coincide with the recent rash of mature women of this age range having sexual affairs with young teenage boys - males who have not fully become men. Just curious.

Well I guess my question was pretty much answered. Yeah, the gals of Generation X prefer more feminine men.

And BigChiefY, how do you get I'm trying to get hooked up on Yahoo Answers?

34 here. Interesting question. I never found Tom Selleck or lots of body hair attractive. Nor do I find younger guys attractive. That being said - I think my husband is the sexiest man on Earth. His hair is not perfect (altho it is long and beautiful) his body is mostly hairless (i prefer that) he is beautiful in every way as far as Im concerned. and he is older than me. Attraction can be hard to identify sometimes tho - definition of what a man is or should be - taken a hard beating forever ~ I like real men. Real men don't use mousse in their hair but feel secure in eating quiche. Since "gay" has become such a popular fad I would be more worried about some "metrosexual" having "homosexual relations" while in a committed relationship.

I prefer very masculine looking men. However, I don't not equate masculinity with body hair!!! I hate body hair, and I don't think it is masculine. Masculine to me means jeans, t-shirt, 5 o'clock shadow, scruffy hair, nice forearms, muscles, etc. I like Shemar Moore.
