eye makeup question?

i have really big blue eyes and i was told that i should only wear brown eyeshadow to enhance them, but i am so tierd of brown. any ideas and tricks?

This is one of my pet-peeves!!! Almay has that compact of eyeshadow colors that are supposed to bring out the color of your eyes, and they put blue and brown in them!!!
UUURRRRGGGG!!! That is sooo boring!

This is a basic from art class...rember the color wheel? Do you remember the complementing/contrasting colors? Think broncos. Orange and Blue- even though they seem to clash, they bring out the brightness in the other color. You don't have to go super-bold with this, but MAC has some great colors-if you are feeling bold.
Look for things in the orange family- it doesn't have to be 'bronco' orange.
I have blue eyes, and the days I wear my orange eyeshadow is the day that more people compliment me on my eyes.
Give it a shot- look for some cheaper brands to try it out, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
One thing I would reccomend if you go for a bold color- don't forget the eyeliner- I would use a dark brown for a more natural look; (since you are wearing orange eyeshadow-and that is NOT natural) black can be a little harsh sometimes.

Who ever told you that is full of bologne! Your eye color is not the only thing that influences what eye makeup colors you should wear. You need to take into consideration your hair and skin color too.
For example, I have cool (pink undertones) skin tone with ashy blonde hair (which is also a cool tone). My eyes are light brown/hazel and warm toned. Therefore I can get away with purples, browns, pinks and soft beiges.

Even though my eyes are kinda golden brown, I CANNOT use golden tones because it looks really yellow on my skin.

My friend has dark blue eyes and she wears blue eye shadow and it really brings them out.

If your eyes are very light colored, I'd wear some darker tones such as grey charcoal and or dark mauve to really contrast against their light shade.

If you have some green specs...olive green would be a great choice to make the green come out!

Brown, r u kidding??No, brown is fine, but makeup washes off, so try whatever you think u might like! try different colors that you wear. some consider blue eyeshadow to be from the 70's or 80's, but it doesn't have to be. try pink, lilac, green... and mix it up, different combinations!

Blue works to and physicains formula makes this cool glittery shadow that brightens your eyes... Also try wearing brown eye liner with blue mascara.. thats also supposed to bring out the blue

try black eyeshadow. it looks great on anyone, and it is very sexy. Just be careful to brush it on correctly, otherwise you'll end up looking like a zombie. Go to a makeup counter at a department store, and ask them to show you how to do a "smokey eyed" look. MAC makeup is amazing. I use the color called "carbon" all the time, and you can put on darker for evenings and lighter for days and work... :)

Violet and various purples are a great color for blue eyes. The classic smokey eye would also look great with your eyes. Just remember, you want colors that contrast your eye color, so you'd want to stay away from any blue or blue-hued eyeshadow tones, they'll just make your eye color look dull.

What?? Only brown??? Whoever told you that is crazy!Here are some possible colors: gold,bronze, white,tan,copper,pinkish-brown,a smoky blue and maybe a white.
