24 - the german connection?

does anyone else think the germans have a hand in everything which has happened in each season.

in season 1 nina spoke german and talked about germany
and in season 5 the terrorists had german manufactured detonators as well as carried the G36 - a german made assault weapon!

there are more clus tho i just can't remember at this time!
