DUH i got one this morning at 12:07 am and i have been playing it since i got home and now i am watching amovie on it

even better cuz the playstaion 3 = is backward compatable witch means u can play your ps2 and ps1 games in it but if u wanna save ya game progress ul need a special adapter cuz the ps3 will use harddrive for ps3 saves and do away with the memory card and the controler will not have dule shock cuz it will be 100% tilt sensitive

yes, i talked to one of the employees in the video game section at toys r us, they said "yes" you can play ps2 games on the ps3, and probley the ps3 can even play ps1 games, but im not sure of that, but yes you can play ps2 games on a ps3

To my understanding all PS2 games are playable.

So far, the list is about 200 that cannot be played.
Expect firmware upgrades sometime in the future to remedy this.
