The average is 12 right now, but many healthcare providers think it's getting younger. The average age was 17 a couple hundred years ago. It's really nothing to be afraid of. Every other person on earth goes through it, and they're all okay. Don't listen to any horror stories - most women don't have a lot of pain or problems. Talk to your mom or an older sister, aunt, teacher, etc. Maybe ask them to give you a couple pads to carry with you so you'll be prepared the day it comes. You'll be okay, I promise.

I was 13 almost 14 it was like 3 weeks until my 14th birthday so we'll go with 14. I have friends that started as early as 9. All girls are different so there's no exact age. I just saw a news report a few weeks ago where a 4 or 5 year old had gotten her period. They said that's not real normal so they put her on medication to stop it for a few more years.

When you are about done growing. So it is obviously different for everyone. But if you are older than 16 you might want to see a doctor, average is 11-14.

It all depend on when GOD wants you to start.. I started when i was in the sixth grade (11 going on 12) . My sister also was in the 6th grade.. Everyone is different though! Your time will come when your ready! Just so you know though, when you do start you do become a lady, and you will learn that periods are NO FUN!

Nothing to be scared about... Stating between 10 - 18 Its mother nature.... you have to deal with it for oh ...about 30+ yrs. If you know what age yoru mother started would give you an idea. BUT if you are very athletic & thin...it may be later.

Anywhere from 10 to 15 is usual. If you haven't gotten yours yet, don't worry about it. If you have, you're still OK, just a little quicker to start than the average. My sister was eleven and a half.
