Reading Shakespeare is difficult when when you're new to it. Watch the Kenneth Branagh film version of Othello. The language is still a little difficult, but don't try to figure out what the characters mean, just let the sound of the language wash over you and within about 20 minutes you'll realize you're totally clued in.

Once you are in the middle of this movie you will have no trouble answering your teacher's question. You'll also be much better at being able to detect when people are lying to you - so it's worth studying this subject, even if it's challenging.

Actually basic theme is pretty simple. You got this Iago
guy who is deceiving Othello to think his wife is unfaithful.

I'd recomment he actually read the play and the Coles notes or whatever study guides they have in your country.
Don't be afraid to trust your own judgement.

If you do that, you appreciate it even more.

Dont be afraid to have your own opinion
