It seems impolite to send a Christmas card to a Jew, Muslim or Atheist.
Wouldn't it be just as impolite to wish a Merry Christmas to a complete stranger who could be a Jew, Muslim or Atheist?
With love in Christ.

Jesus is not the reason for the season. It's just a pithy saying. The real reason for the season (both figuratively and literally) is the winter solstice.
Christmas is a derivative of "Christ Mass" which was first held by the Roman Catholic Church on December 25 oh so many, many decades ago. And it's not like they knew that This God-Child was actually *born* on December 25 (forgetting anything about Julian calendars, and all)! They merely took the pagan celebration of the winter solstice and held a mass to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
If you're offended by "Happy Holidays" how do you think someone who is an Orthodox Jew feels when you wish them a "Merry Christmas"?
If you're speaking of in a church setting, by all means, wish each other a "Merry Christmas". But, in the general public, it isn't just "politically correct" to say "Happy Holidays". Since you don't know what that person is going to celebrate it's only polite.

Merry Christmas!! it seems like those zionists are slowly getting there way and killing anything Jesus out of everything that is Christmas. Why don't we just go back to the way it was before? Happy holidays sounds very commercialized $$$$ to me for some reason and is total B.S. Im not brainwashed i can see whats going on here and it's the work and goal of zionists.

My comeback to people who say they won't say "Merry Christmas" (or put it on cards) because it might offend someone, is this:
Would you be offended if a Jew or Muslim wished you a happy (fill in the holy day name here)?
Only if you were a bigot, right?
Then anyone who is offended by "Merry Christmas" is a bigot, and I don't defer to bigots.
So MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Definitely Merry Christmas! (At least in America where our whole society was founded on Christian principles.) I don't think we sould be mean about it, though. I hope that we as Christians stand our ground, but also are respectful of others who don't believe as we do. We should show the spirit of Christmas, not just the words of Christmas.

I celebrate Christmas. I'm offended if someone can't take the time to recognize that.
