I lost my voice and I am going somewhere that I NEED to talk tonight. I need to get my voice back in 1-3 hrs., does anyone know of a fast way that can help me get it back?

To all of you jerks: don't tell me to go look for it or that I better go find it.

try some herbal tea with honey. it soothes the throat and the honey coats it so you can talk.

Sorry, Lola...nothing will help it but relaxing it. I get laryngitis a lot. The only thing I can tell you is to drink warm, soothing liquids and don't say a PEEP until you have to talk...if it's something you really, really need to talk for.

Don't use it. (can sometimes be very hard to do). But between now and then that's your best hope. I've heard of singers drinking lemon water, it's supposed to be good for your cords.
Good Luck

go look....just KIDDING. I don't know other than much vocal rest, although you can't talk..don't even try... consider some tea and honey to soothe your vocal cords as well.

I can't guarantee this will work- but try gargling with warm salt water.

Good luck!
