As long as you give the new palm device the same name and owner as the old one, then all you have to do is install the new software and synch the new device. All the software and data is loaded into the new device.

When you sync, it stores the data with the device name and user and synchs only to devices with the same name and owner.

so you could have 3 or 4 devices all using the same data and programs as long as they have the same name, same owner.

I think that the palm desktop software will let you do that. I recently did the same thing going from an M100 to the tungsten E2. I think it gave the tungsten a new name when i tried to hotsync it and i had to go into the tools and users menu to change the names of the "users" in two steps so that when i hotsynced the new one, it put the old one's information onto it. Play with it a bit, palmdesktop will still have your old information on it, you may just have to trick it into thinking the new palm is the old one. I have version 4.1 by the way. Hope this helps and good luck.

Get the TX or lifedrive. I have the lifedrive myself and its tremendous yet its extra severe priced. you may save stuff on it yet featurewise its maximum resembling the TX. The TX has extra RAM anyhow and thats whee you position courses. the further storage means of mine is a farce - only for p.c.. or videos (which the show screen high quality sucks for anyhow). in case you want extra room on a TX, get SD memory playing cards. for extra information I welcome you to seek Brighthand! they could grant you with information about the kind + a communicate board to debate and ask q's. besides the undeniable fact that the TX will be more low-priced, and it has wifi and BT outfitted in. The others do not. (LD does)
