In the United States, the final episode of InuYasha aired on October 27, 2006. The series is scheduled to begin its second run starting on January 1, 2007
The anime stops before the actual manga series ends.
I love Inuyasha, one of the best animes/mangas out there!
The second movie is also awsome.

The last anime episode of Inuyasha was 167and there were 4 movies as well. However, the manga is still going strong and actually just celebrated its 10th anniversary this week. There has been a lot of changes that have happened to the characters since the anime ended . A good site for this manga is http://adinuyasha.thebrokenconsole.com/TOC.html?

Adult Swim also has an online show schedule, BTW. That's how I found out about the final episodes. It premiered 3 weeks ago. With the repeat episodes going on again, check AS's site to see when the final episodes remain.
I think they didn't announce it on TV because they only had about a week and a half of the final episodes left.

It has been out for a long time and if you want to see it you could go to youtube.com and watch it there. and yes 167 is the last episode but it doesn't really explain anything, it just ends.

No, it did no longer air Wednesday. perhaps they meant to declare "final week's episode" particularly? "Meet Kevin Johnson" the hot episode, aired this evening - Thursday, March 20, at 10 pm, 9 pm valuable. the subsequent episode, regrettably, won't air till April 24, 2008.
