Yes, kids "now-a-days" are trying to grow up way too fast. Society is dictating this as well with all the new technology, etc.

I don't think kids now know any more than kids did a hundred, or even a thousand years ago. I think the difference is that kids voice what they know rather than keeping silent about it. That, in my opinion, comes from watching TV where sex is an everyday subject and they see how freely it is used in conversation, and they follow suit and talk about sex also. In days gone by girls who were past the age of 14 for marriage was considered an old maid, and we all know that she knew what she was expected to do on her wedding night. Also, most parents used to raise their children to be seen and not heard, todays parents talk more openly with their children, we have to. There are things that need to be discussed, like disease, AIDS, consequence of actions, that if we don't take the initive of talking with our kids before it's too late, who's going to talk to them? Did you know what sex was at 11? Probably 99% of the people did, not that they knew from experience, but they knew what it was. Again, I think it's just more verbalized than it used to be, but with no more knowledge.

Yes, they do know too much. But, as parents it's important to not ignore the subjects but be open and explain what they SHOULD do when things like this happen.
In an idea world, they would stay innocent for much longer BUT since they are going to be exposed, it's better that they have input from their families on how to handle the situation.

Yes I did not know as much as some of these children do. When I was 11 boys were still yucky and I played with Barbies. Sorry too much information I know.

Well if it was her boyfriend they are a little bit to young and if it was just some kid that is perverted.I if they are a little older than your cousin I think if they feel ready and they are not under peer pressure they should try it as long as they are protected.

Not in my reality. Its always been that way. Kids know about the birds and the bees way before their parents talk to them about it.
I do believe they are more exposed to adult content that comes on regular tv everyday though, more than before.

Oh yeah. Society doesn't let them stay kids for long. I think it's really sad, they're cheated out of so much of their childhood and innocence.

yes it is very sad that the innocence of children is no longer , but with all that they r shown and taught and have to be taught because of perverts and such , there is no way around it , all we can do is try to teach right from wrong and hope they will listen

Yes I do. However, sometimes, I wonder if adults know too little. The problem is, we are not learning the right things.
