I'm 35 weeks pregnant, and had a Dr's appointment Tuesday. I asked my doctor about some problems I was having, but she was very vague with her answers. All she said was "that's normal" and told me she had other patients to see, and walked out of the room! It really pissed me off!
Anyways...I was wondering if any of you could help me...
The baby dropped about 2 weeks ago, and since then I've been sore all over! My belly, my crotch, my legs, everything! Also, I've been having really sharp pains in my vagina...
Are these symptoms normal at 35 weeks?
What is causing these pains/soreness?
Anyone else expierence this?
Thank you! :)

it is very normal for you to be feeling this way. my due date with my second child is next thursday (thanksgiving) and i droped about 36 weeks. the pressure from the babys head is making the vaginal area hurt. it kinda feels like a bone is broken or is burning sometimes. lol...
But you probably are experiencing Braxton hicks contractions. and the more you experience the better. it helps the actual labor along and sometimes not so painfull. you might think about doing some cagel excersises and squat down on the floor and let the vaginal area relax the more you do things like this the better your labor and the better you feel. take it a little easy with you days from now on. lay down on the floor with you legs on the couch. my husband tells me i need to take it easy just the other day i was re arranging the house lol....im not very big though. but i am experiencing the kind of pain you say you are. plus i am a stay home mom with an 18 month old running around so it is a little hard to take it easy. but if you can i highly sudgest it. and when you see you doc next week you need to tell her that you did not appreciate the way she treated you and you would like to sit down now and discuss your worries and thoughts. good luck with everything and have a wonderful day:)

Sorry! I am also 35 weeks and I have all the same aches and pains. I told my husband sometimes there's so much pressure that I'm just sure he's going to stick his arm out and wave!!! Once baby drops those lower pains defiiantly get worse. Those sharp pains just mean there's pressure and strecthing that's prepping you for child birth. Good luck!
Also... yes VERY rude of your doctor and I would certainly let her know how she made you feel! They are there to answer questions. Try calling one of her nurses, they usually have more time to give thorough answers!

Definately normal... 35 weeks here too, and charlie horses are getting worse. Lower back pain is incredible, can hardly get out of bed to go pee!! it's normal stretching of ligaments and muscles from the weight of your "wee one" ... Congratulations, and we're ALMOST finished!! P.s: You're doctors a QUACK! and i'd make a formal complaint.

I don't know if that's normal or not, I never experienced any of those symptoms at 35 weeks. I do think your doctor is a twit though. I hope she competent when it comes to delivering your baby.

I am too 35 weeks and your body is preparing for labor, it can be anytime now by what you are describing. But not to worry the baby is just settling it's self so when he/she is ready you will know. Just take it easy and keep your feet up. Sounds like it will happen anytime now.....good luck!

i feel you on the being pissed off part..i know they're in hurry and all but dang..take a little time!!! especially w/ first time moms..WE dont know what is going on, even if THEY see it 100x/day, WE DONT!!! that rant finished, i did that when i was pregnant with my 1st child (my dr said "all of that will subside when you have the baby" well DUH....) my back ached constantly, i would feel strong cramps and think "it was time"...it never was..if it continues to concern you and you think something really IS wrong, call them and tell them that something isnt right and that u know ur body better than ANYone and u want to be examined. it might ease your mind...even if it isnt time...resting as much as you can, walking when you feel up to it, drinking lots of fluids and relaxing in a comfortably warm tub can help :) good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is called premature labor. Please when you are having the pains pay attention to where they are starting. If they stay in the back then you are fine, it is false labor. But if the labor move to the front you may be in labor. Get up and walk around, if the pain persists call your doctor and go to the ER. Avoid having sex because you will go into premature labor. Be careful and take it easy the next few weeks. Your child is getting ready to come. If you should go into labor don't worry because it is early. Today, they have methods to make sure both you and baby are fine. All 3 of my kids were born early... and it is due to sex that caused premature labor. Be careful and relax hon

It is normal, body continues to change and adjust to baby, preparations for delivery. Your doctor needs to be more caring and sympathetic, regardless of her patient load. Very rude and unprofessional.
