I know I read some where of an author how has rewritten some of the classics as Haiku, but I can't remember his name.

can anyone help?

I haven't read the book. But I've found excerpts of it online. It is called Haiku U: 100 Great Books in 17 Syllables. The author is David M. Bader.

Heidi, Black elegance, Wizard of oz., Andersons Fairy thoughts( which might incorporate the grotesque Duckling , the purple shoes, and the little journey lady), Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Jack in the Beanstalk i'm happy you're resurrecting those by way of fact the contemporary ones are actually not as good
