i was molested as a child and i say a child molester should have life probation, goverment keeping tabs on them wherever they go, and be placed in a mental instatiute(or however you spell it.) for rehabilatation, molesting kids is NOT normal, they are messed up. they should have mandatory instatiutionalistion for at least two years before they could go back into society on probation.

I can tell you from experience, my x molested my daughter, that a child molester can not be reformed. There are only a few ways to stop a child molester from ever molesting again.

They are:

1. Castration of the molester on first convection.
2. Locked up for life in a cage with no key and no way out of the cage, ever.
3. Death of the molester.

In response to Main Event, the molested child will never fully recover, even with 15+ years of counseling. My daughter had catatonic spells for over 5 years and now as an adult, she has relationship/trust issues with every relationship. The abuse is permanent.

I don't think they should get another chance, but you can check out what the percentage is of predators that are released that commit the crime a second time, and if the crime is worse in nature or not. Something else that may help your point is how the children are affected in the long run.

Agreeing with you that youngster abuse (which includes sexual, verbal, and actual) is truthfully incorrect and immoral, i ought to disagree with you in regards to the enforcement of those issues. Your argument could desire to amplify to rapists, burglars, and whilst extreme as a man or woman at fault in a vehicle twist of destiny. undesirable issues ensue to people, and particular, perhaps the punishment ought to be a splash greater stricter (like 10 to 2 decades), yet no longer life or dying. additionally, what if it turn into you that turn into falsely accused? i'm particular you would be singing a distinctive song. Their are cases the place to evade punishment from parents approximately being out overdue, a baby (perhaps a 12-15 year old woman) will falsely accused somebody of abusing them. Scoff in case you choose for, this is real and it happens. do no longer forget approximately this could be a legal crime, some thing that still follows them for something of their life. Our justice device isn't infallible, errors ensue, info construed wrongly, and wrongly accused persons convicted. If the courts have been independent (like their meant to be), and the info laid out completely , i could be in help of harsher punishments, yet as issues are actually, i do no longer think of we are at a element have been we are able to achieve this.

Sometimes I think we go a little too far.

As evil of a crime as child molestation is, at some point a punishment should be over and someone should be considered to have paid his debt to society.

I don't think locking someone up and throwing away the key is the right answer for a 1st time child molester. Maybe for one who repeats.
