There is leftover tape, the heavy duty kind (clear), on my refrigerator and Im not sure as how to clean it off. I tried soap and water as well as alcohol and it does not remove the residue that sticky tape leaves behind. Any suggestions?

Spray a little WD 40. Yes, the same stuff that you use for a squeaky door hinge.

I used it to clean sticky stuff from the lid of an stainless steel trash can. Spray it on & let it soak into the sticky residue. It will break down the sticky properties & then you will be able to wipe it with a paper towel until it's all removed. May take a few applications but it works!

Heat and steam will not work, just makes a bigger mess. Try either the goo gone mentioned above or lighter fluid like for a Zippo. What it is is the petroleum breaks down the adhesive.

we use wd-40 to remove the packing tape from new appliances.
and it works very well on stainless because it will not harm stainless and really makes it shine. spray it on and wipe with a
dry cloth.

I'd use nail polish remover. If you have a spare pencil eraser lying around, dip one side into remover then rub at the fridge.

Get a spray can of oil-based label remover.
Any hardware store or maybe even Walmart.
Works beautifully.

Get "Goof Off" or "Goo Gone". Both products will do the trick. Also good for removing paint, ink, etc, etc etc. Good stuff.
