I don't know about sores, but sometimes it feels like tiny little cuts, especially if it is really itchy and irritated. Yes yogurt helps me when I get a yeast infection. Just make sure it has live active cultures in it and is not sugar sweetened, as it's most likely the sugar that's causing the over growth of yeast. I use the Splenda sweetened kind and try to stay away from sugary sweets and sodas for while. If she has never had a yeast infection before, seeing her doctor is advisable to make sure it's not something more serious!

Hope this helps her too, I know how painful they can be!!!

Sores? It depends. If she is scratching like crazy, then yes. It can cause bleeding. Otherwise, no there shouldn't be sores from a yeast infection.

If she has never been diagnosed with a yeast infection before by a doctor and doesn't know the true symptoms, then she needs to go see a gynocologist.

As for the yogurt, yes, but it depends on the yogurt. The yogurt must have the live active cultures in it. It's the acidophillus live culture that helps maintain a healthy balance. You can either eat the yogurt or they sell acidophillus suppliments.

be careful! if she has sores, she needs to be checked out, dont do anything together until then.
I used to have a lot of yeast infections, all they are is an overgrowth of the natural yeast that women have down there. Not a real hard thing to fix. Yes yogurt helps and make sure she stays clean. there is a medicine that works called monastat 3, have her give it a try, it worked for me.
but first, first ,first, see a doctor and find out what going on for sure.

Yogart part very true... Sores though, absolutely not. She Definately needs to get to a doctor.
And FYI.... males can catch yeast infections, usually have no symptoms, and will cause their female partners to be getting it all the time. If she gets put on medication, you must take it also or ya'll will never get rid of it.
