Must have it to spend, you would have to be an idiot to buy one at that price though. Like you said they will flood the market with them in about six months, also it is dumb buying the first model of any platform they always have bugds that need to be fixed.

why would people quit their jobs for a ps3? why would people camp out since tuesday for a ps3? why would people shoot, rob for a ps3?
cause people are nuts when it comes to this stuff. a new system only comes out every 4-5 years and these things are scarce. so simple economics should explains that when demand is greater than supply the price gets jacked up to some phenominal amount.

Can we get one collective...DUH! I think people will pay $3000 for the bragging rights of having one of the first PS3's but just after Christmas when they're $400-500 they'll be feeling like fools.

they are obsessed people who can't wait until next year. I'm one of those people except I didn't buy it yet. I bought Kingdom hearts II for 50 dollars because I couldn't wait till next year!!
