if england invented the game why arnt they the best and why havent they won an other world cup

because the premiership is so full of foreign players that there a no new English youngsters or stars coming through so when it comes to the international scene we aren't that good...the team we have now is supposed to be one of the best we have had but the style of international football compared to premiership is miles apart..also Gerrard lampard terry Rooney etc...have more desire to to win for there club teams ...look at European club football we have loads of trophies.

What can I say.... I believe England has really been overrated by everyone especially by the press... We blindly believe that England is the best but the truth hurts.... they are simply not good enough. I'm not talking all about skills.. There is no chemistry in the team..everyone are just playing for themselves...for their own pride..and in the end, they end up blowing their own chances.. In this year's World Cup, the team solely depends on Rooney...... Come on, Rooney is just backed from a serious injury... U can't expect him to perform his best. And changes in strategy during the World Cup shows that the manager had yet to understand the English style of football.. During the World cup, England's game is the most boring one ever... they are playing safe all the time and u can't expect to win like that... It's totally different from EPL club football... I believe the player tha really performs is currently not playing in England and he is Owen Hargreaves... I'm very disappointed that the team wasn't really united and the press is constantly blasting them with every opportunity they have....
With Steve as the new manager... I'm hoping for such mistakes to be change....

Players and teams are successful in many different ways, and some more than others due to their unbeatable approaches, tactics, and styles. The English may have invented the game, but there are other better teams that have invented the best way to win their matches.
