Yes, as a matter of fact I am. I believe it's the responsibility you take on as being the oldest.

Yes I'm the first born. I don't know if I'm healthier, but I don't have to work so hard at staying thin as my younger siblings do (their weight fluctuates a lot more often, and over much smaller variations in diet). I don't know if I'm more successful because our lives are very different right now, but me and the one right after me both have college degrees from the same university. She's just barely graduated and working in accounting, I was a math teacher for two years, but now I have two children and have chosen to stay home to be with them. But I will say this, I never had to work as hard in school as either of my siblings did, and I got straight A's. My mom says it's because she read to me while she was feeding and changing and taking care of the basic needs of the other two.
When I was born my mom was 22 and my dad was 25.
Is this for a research paper or something?

I am not. I'm the third born but only out of two children.
Byron(still birth) I think my mom was like 25 or 26
My brother, 27 (my mom was 26 1/2 and dad was I think 27)
Me, 22 (mom was 31 and dad was 31 too)
Irel (still born) mom was 39 or 40.
The eldest died at birth and the second child is not more successful than me. The third.
I don't think this really matters when you're born, just how you deal with life and it's outcomes.
Edit: By the way, my mom was the first born, and yes she just happens to be more successful than her other seven siblings.

Actually, I am the last born and my oldest brother has suffered several heart attacks, diabetes etc...... He is less successful than I too. But it isnt about money. My mother was 16 when he was born, 19 for my middle brother and 21 when she had me. I am actually healthier and more successful than both. So, I guess this isnt true for some siblings. I guess I have proved it wrong if some believe it is true. So to answer your question......... NO.

I am the oldest. I am also heathier (watch what I eat, exercise six times a week) than my brothers (my only sister is four, so you can't really use her in comparison). My mom was 25 when I was born, and my dad was 31. I am 28 years old. Yes, 28, with a four year old sister. - Second marriage for my dad. I have a M.A. in psychology. My brother who is 24 has not graduated college, and the brother who is 18 has just started a program at UTI. I also have a brother who's seven, but he's a little young to be more successful than me.

Yes. My mom was 20 years old & my dad was 26 years old when I was born. Was I successful? I retired at the age of 38 with a great annual income from my investments.(No financial help from the parents.) My 3 younger siblings haven't done bad either. I set a good example for them. We had strict parents who taught us the value of a dollar and the work ethic. No bums in my family. Money provides good medical attention to our health therefore we are all in good health.

I am not but all three hubbys and one and only sister is. In all hubbys and my sisters case yes they are all more successful in terms of $....happiness...not so much.
The oldest has too much responsibity dumped on them and they don't seem to laugh or be as easy going as the after borns. Too serious. Too many expectations on them...I am glad not to be number 1 child.
Parents in all cases were of normal 25-30 for that era...birth order is very interesting, there is a book out there called "the birth order book" (shocking title)....any way...it's a good read and really clears it all up.
