It is very simple. I used to be a swimmer and it happend to me many a time. It sounds a bit rediculous but you just tilt your head to the side where the water is, hen just jump up and down. It will be out in a matter of seconds. Trust me.

Try this. Either when you're at the pool or taking a shower, just put a little bit more water in that ear. I mean you have to make sure you can put water in that ear. Then count to five or ten, and just let it drain out. Give that a try. Good enough, yes?

Alcohol will dry out your ear and make it itch as well as invite infection. Try a teaspoon of vinigar per quart of water mix, use a couple of drops in each ear to prevent infections. After you put the drops in just tilt your head to the side that has water in it and pull gently on your ear lobe to straighten the ear canal and allow the water to drain.

U.S. Navy diving manual suggest Denbromic solution to prevent ear infections.

stand on one foot (opposite of the ear that has water) tilt your head, and pull at your ear at the place right above your ear lobe. when i first started swimming i used to have water bubbles in my ear that would last for more than a day, but when i learned this method, it actually worked! (well, for me it did, the different methods vary between different people)

Pour a VERY SMALL amount of rubbing alcohol in your ear canal...Let it sit for a short while, then tilt head so alcohol drains onto tissue or whatever. Will carry any water with it.
