you can close it shut with your hands.. and there is a lever on the front of the bus (close to the right side mirror) that will open the doors..
seen it when i was a member of the lousisana sweethearts marching team

you just push the door shut with your hands and you can open it the same ways too

If she's parking, she closes it by hand and has a device that locks/unlocks it at the bottom.
