Their are studies that I have read about conducted to prove that lucid dreams are really. Not sure what the sites are, but I know I have read about it. Sientific studies were needed to prove that it is possible to be aware of your dream, and control it. With advance technology and monitors, it was proven that it is possible. One study included someone that went to sleep, and explained a pattern that he would move his eyes. He did it, that proved that he was aware that he was dreaming. I lucid dream sometimes, how trippy.. as does my brother.. I'm glad you asked this question, I'd like to do some more reading on it myself.
