The best one I did was when I was building a low wall half way down my garden (about 50' from the house) they asked me what I was doing and I told them I was building an extension. rofl

You should've seen their faces!

I think they were just about ready to lynch me 'till I explained I was only levelling the garden off a bit. lmao

Wow! You got some really funny advice here --- if you want to escalate the problems rather than iradicate them. Some of these tips are bound to get reactions, but perhaps they won't be what you are hoping for.

I suggest lodging complaints with the police, and then taking them to small claims court if the noise does not abate. In many states there is a law that you have the right "to expect reasonable happiness" in your place of dwelling. (Those aren't the right words, but the best I can come up with) If they fail to comply with the council, and the police, I think you could win a law suit.

As long as your own actions are above reproach...

Phone the police anonymously and tell them that you think you saw your neighbours with guns and arms. They will do a dawn raid and cart them away for a couple of hours for questioning. When they return they will have to sort out fixing the door the police kicked in and wont have time to be so noisey.

My suggestion would be for you to talk to them in person. Maybe they don't realize how loud they are being. And if that doesn't work, feel free to call the police and report the parties, or the loudness of whatever it is. Maybe a visit from them will lower the volume. I think if you just do something mean to them, that they will feel the need to retaliate, and that could start a bitter war between you and them. Hopefully, they are nice people who will apologize and change their ways.

Park a horrible old ageing caravan right outside your door so it blocks the neighbours view or while your at it just get all your mates to abandon their pile of crap cars outside too, dont forget to take the tyres of and pile them on bricks,
falling that send them pizzas every night, prostitutes, taxis etc
thats what i would do

My mum and dads next door neighbour who is just a complete prat put porrige on the bonnet of my dads motor. It is an absolute sod to get off, and my dad has scratched his bonnet to get the stuff off.
All my dad did was scrape off wall paper, in his bedroom which makes virtually no noise.

If they are really noisy, simply call the cops and tell them you "think" there's a domestic dispute in the apartment and you "think" you heard someone holler, "Watch out, he's got a knife!"

Bet they quiet down after the cops sort through all of their stories and make it clear they don't want to have to return.

Go away for a couple of nights and leave your radio alarm set for 5.00 am (set the volume really loud).

I did this once by accident, it took a lot of grovelling for my neighbours to accept my apology.

have a party over the weekend! turn up the music get people ringing the wrong doorbell so they have to keep getting up to it, just remember the laws of noise after 11.30 pm, if your music is louder than 30 decibels then you can get done, but they police cant do anything about your visitors can they!!
