In my fourth period class we have lots of different debates. On 11/17/06 we had a debate about congress and all that (Civics class) Well today a white student mad a racist comment. Now this is not his first time doing this. There is not one day that go by that this student dont make a racist and unappropriate comment TO a BLACK student. So today he asked this dumb *** question:(why do they have BET and not WET on TV) but yet he sings the songs and do the dances that be on BET. So i got fed up with it and said "shut your fat a*s up, you is so f*c*i*g stupid, if you dont want BET to be on TV why do you sing the song letting people think you like BET" so i got sent out and wrote up just for saying that. And if this other BLACK student says something racist he gets put out and wrote up..........IS THIS FAIR OR NOT?

i think he makes a valid point. why is there specifically black television and not specifically white television? that's not a racist question at all. and you shouldn't be cursing people out in the classroom. from the way your grammar looks, you should be paying more attention to your lessons.

No it's definately not fair. Granted perhaps you shouldn't curse in school. :)

Last year there was a boy in my government class who made rude comments and called people stupid and said racial slurs ALL THE TIME! and the teacher never did anything. By the end of the year everyone was so sick of it everytime he opened his mouth even. Seriously i wish i would have done what you did, but i didn't want to get into trouble.

None the less, tell your parents, and go to your principal about it, because he's behaving completely inappropriately if he's saying racist comments and things of that nature.

well...1st of all..if you used fat a*s and f*c*i*g in class that is immediate grounds for getting sent out. However, I understand your frustration. If others in the class feel that the teacher is racist, you should form an organized group and present your concerns to the principal. I would suggest putting it in writing.

Getting upset and loosing your cool doesn't solve anything.

****Good Luck!!******

No, I think you both should been wrote up. What he did was wrong and no offense, but you didn't help the situation. He definitely sounds like a racist though and that isn't right.

That is not fair. If he does this all the time and you get in trouble for saying one thing about him, I don't think that was fair at all. I think you should tell your principle about this so that boy can be suspended.

Doesn't seem fair to me. And there is WET as I am assuming he is referring to White Entertainment Television. You should have just told him to watch VH1. Perhaps this is something you should bring to the attention of your school board.

No, not fair at all, actually sounds a little racist.

Totally unfair! Have your parents first speak to the principal and if that doesn't work, go to the school board.

well, that depends on whether or not the other student used foul language.
