It would be a good idea to tell your fiancée about this so that she's not surprised when the "moment of truth" comes and you're naked together. In the meantime, keep the area as clean and as dry as possible. There are over-the-counter remedies for jock itch. Talk with your pharmacist. Personally, I recommend either Tinactin or Micatin. Both come is a spray powder form. I've found both of them to be highly efective. Also, if you wear briefs, switch to boxers or boxer briefs so that more air circulates in the affected area. This helps keep things dry. You might also want to consult your physician since this rash has plagued you for several years.

excuse me for this but
Dumb ***! Why in heck have you put up with that for 6 frigging years.
Jock itch like many mild fungal infections is a pretty easy condition to clean up and keep under control. there are a variety of creams you can try to get rid of it. And you should also be showering every morning taking special care to wash, rinse and dry thoroughly your entire genital area before you put on nice clean underwear. Also after any sport or other activity when you get even the least bit hot or sweaty, head for the showers immediately after even if it means goign naked with other guys in a school or gym locker room. Nothing you have they don;t already know about anyway.
In addition to the cream and th ecleaning and fresh underwear each morning:
a) if you get sweaty and have your underwear on, eithe rput on a clean pair after you shower or go commando; never put dirty uinderwear back on a clean body.
b) stop wearing underwear to bed. Sleep naked or wear loos fitting clean pj's but not the day's underwear or anythign that is tight.
Basically, keep the genital region (penis, scrotum and all) very clean, aired out and always let it dangle free if you can't find clean undies to put on.

6 years? Thats more like Jock Rot.....man go to a urologist and have him check out the package...You could have something more serious than jock itch. Also, you do not want to run the risk of transferring anything to your 'love'

Go to www.webmd.com, maybe they have some suggestions.
You've been with her for 6 years and she doesn't know this??? If she loves you, she loves you with your faults. Get over your insecurities and tell her. What happens when you have been married for 25 years and you find out you have prostate cancer or something? Under your current frame of mind, it doesn't sound like you would be forthcoming with her.
Establish your honesty about your medical condition now. I think you'll be surprised at her response. Women "love" taking care of their men.

you need to see a dermatologist. there are prescription medications that can cure j/i within 2-3 days. you're just wasting your money by purchasing any of the otc medications that are available in just about any drugstore or chain store.
