I am crying right now, because of this and my life. I mean I feeel sooo blessed to have my daughter. My husband was in the navy and just when he was supposed to get out, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. he had grandmal seizures for 2 months last year. thank god its under control. I just feel like nothing is going good financially.

you are doing nothing wrong, sometimes it takes awhile to get hired. as long as he keeps applying someone will hire him.

Is he going on interviews for jobs that he has experience in? I have found that besides having the right skills for a job applied for, if I go in with a positive, upbeat attitude, it goes a long way. If he goes in with a negative attitude, they are going to sense it and pass him by. It's hard looking for a job. I hate it! You feel like you are begging. No one likes to feel that way. As long as he keeps at it, with a positive attitude, he'll find something. Hang in there. Don't give up!

"cope" hit it right on!!
A positive attitude goes along way!! Dress above and beyond what the potential job requires. Showing that you respect yourself will give the impression that you will also respect the boss.
Start applying everywhere!! Don't be limited... You have a family..be sure he applies even for factory jobs that offer good benefits... insurance benefits are extremely important with a family!!

Well if he has epilepsy he could get social security that should help out some. There are so many jobs out there he just needs to keep going to interviews. You need to make sure he is going to them he could be lying and telling you he is going to them. Have him look on the internet and check out websights on interviews that should help some.

I did a job finding course, which covers how to sell yourself, after being out of work for many years and now I have a job. Not sure what to call this course, but there may be one near where you are.

Hard to say why you are having such bad luck. Maybe it has something to do with his job ref. or the employer doesn't want to work around someone's schedule of school.

I wouldn't say it's bad luck, it just takes time to find a job suitable. In the mean time - find a job to make endd meet until the job you want comes along.

Does he dress clean & neat for the interview (including his SHOES--they all notice shoes!)? Does he answer thoughtfully and respectfully?
Does he remain positive?
Call one of the places he didn't get hired and talk to his interviewer--ask honestly why he didn't hire your husband.
That may help more than anything!

Maybe where you live the job market is not very 'open'. Type looking in surrounding towns. Maybe a head hunter will help. All I can say is PERSISTENCE.
